July Update
I’ve been busy writing this month, which means this should be a simple monthly update, but I still have a couple of important-ish announcements to make. Nothing troubling, though.
The news:

The first book in my new urban fantasy series is complete on my Patreon, and I’ll be posting the second book there until Spellblade chapters are ready later in July.
April/May Update
It’s been a slow month, but I have a bit of news on the writing front. There’s also some fairly serious news in this update.
First, my next release(s) will be Heretic Spellblade 6 and 7. I’ll be writing this as a single large book and splitting it into two books, each roughly the size of the first books in the series, rather than the massive tomes from later in the series. This is due to reasons I’ll elaborate on later in this update, but the short version is that times are rough in the genre and I’m not sure I can afford to spend several months between massive books. The alternative is to just stop, so I’m trying this instead.
Heretic Spellblade 5 Audio is Live
The Heretic Spellblade 5 audio is out on Audible. Hopefully it doesn't implode and tank like the last release due to some Audible bug.
As always, Stephanie Savannah has done an amazing job. Over 20 hours of fantastic narration, lots of new characters, some intense action, and lots of twists.

March Update
Upcoming audiobook release reminder time. Not much else to say, other than Neural Wraith 3 will be out at the end of the month (and sorry again for the delay).
Neural Wraith 2’s audio releases on March 21st, so feel free to pre-order it. I’ve been listening to it during breaks while working on the 3rd book and it’s a delight as always to hear Stephanie’s voice work. She has a real talent for making villainous characters sound amazing, and hearing her voice a new mainframe, Lilith, makes me want to bring her back into the series earlier than I planned. It’s a great book, with great voice work, so I hope you enjoy it.
Heretic Spellblade 5 is finally coming out on audio as well.
Change of Plans
Very quick update. Due to some IRL conflicts and personal stuff, I’ve had to switch my next book to Neural Wraith 3. It should be out in March still and I’ll post when the pre-order is up. Chapters are going up on Patreon and there’s more info up there if you care about that stuff.
I know this will disappoint a few people, but the alternative was to either release a very undercooked Heretic Spellblade 6 or, more likely, not to release any book until May or later. Neural Wraith is a much easier series to write due to each book being episodic and much shorter.
As I’m taking a break from writing in March, I’ll revisit my schedule in April. You can expect that Heretic Spellblade will be my next book, but there is likely to be some bigger changes to the rest of the year once I have some time to properly consider things.
In brighter news, the audiobook for Neural Wraith 2 should be out on the 21st March and you can expect to see the pre-order go up on Audible soon. I can hopefully post the link alongside the Neural Wraith 3 preorder.
2023 Schedule
Time for a hopefully accurate publishing schedule for the year. After last year, I’m going with a more relaxed approach to my books. There may be extras in between, but this is just what I’m committing to in the hopes of finally getting on top of things. In practice, this doesn’t change my publishing pace (it’s still 4 book a year) but I’ll stop trying to compete with the book a month or faster folks, as it’s just not worth the hassle.
Before I jump into things, know that the Emperor Awakened audio is up for pre-order and will be out on the 21st. Demon’s Throne 3 audio will be out on the 31st. Links below.
September Update
A short update, but not a sweet one. Let’s get into it.
Heretic Spellblade 5 is out, if you’re reading this and haven’t read it for some reason. No date on audio but it will be voiced by Steph.
Hopefully I can confirm the Neural Wraith audio release date next month, as it’s close to release. No news on Demon’s Throne audio.
The Empire Reforged audio is being recorded now. The narrators will be Katana Jones and Gabriel Michael, so it should be a great listen whatever you think of the book itself.
Heretic Spellblade 5 is Live
Nathan returns in the latest Heretic Spellblade, and it’s a massive volume. New Messengers, new powers, new politics, and new twists. If you’ve read the last four, you know what to expect.

August Update
Busy month, and also an unlucky month. Some audiobook news, though.
Heretic Spellblade 5 should be out on the 3rd September. It’s been a slog putting it together, and it’s kind of huge, so this comes with caveats (read below). Pre-order will be around 5 days before it’s out if it’s not delayed. Check out the cover with Ciana and early chapters on Patreon.
July Update
2022 is halfway over and it’s definitely going too fast for me, but that’s life. Another month, another writing update.
If you somehow missed the release of Neural Wraith, go check it out. A huge thanks to everyone who shared, reviewed, or read it. It’s been far more successful than I expected (mind you, I had fairly low expectations), and I really appreciate all the support. The book was a big risk, even if I loved writing it, so seeing it be so well received is fantastic.
