November Update
It’s been a couple of months and I’m rested after the slog that was getting Mob Sorcery 5 finished. 2025 has been a mixed year, and one that has left me with some fairly negative vibes overall even if Mob Sorcery has done really well. Fortunately, it’s nearly over and there’s always tomorrow.
As mentioned last time, I’m no longer doing schedules and all updates going forward will avoid promising anything unless it’s about to come about for certain. Otherwise, I’ll only be talking about what I’ve gotten done since the last update.
Here’s what’s happened/happening:
The second (and final) Heretic Spellblade omnibus will come out at the end of November to celebrate the series anniversary. It will contain the epilogue that is currently being posted to Patreon. Keep an eye out for its release (and my post announcing it) in the final week of November if you want to complete your collection, and to read the series epilogue. Or you can sub to Patreon to read it early.
A German translated edition of Mob Sorcery has been released on Amazon (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0G1MSK2MN). If you read German, I’d appreciate it if you check it out and hopefully leave a review. Whether I do more German translations will come down to whether there’s any support for this book and Book 2, as translations take money and time, and I can’t justify them if nobody is supporting them or reading them.
My annual anniversary post is up on Patreon, where I sum up my thoughts on the past year. You can read it at the lowest tier if you’re interested (as well as past anniversary posts).
Most of my writing and planning time has been spent on the Spellblade epilogue and Neural Wraith 4, with a little bit on Stellarforged (a scifi series on Patreon in the very early stages). I haven’t fully decided what I’m working on next, as I want to avoid pressuring myself by putting anything on Patreon too soon.
For those who saw my comments about the Mob Sorcery 5 launch (as well as other authors having issues with launches recently), know that I was fortunate enough that Amazon fixed the worst of the pre-order issue several days after the launch and the algorithm slowly unfucked itself. Everything luckily worked out for me, but do remember to support other authors if they’re having a rough patch. 2025 is a year of tech issues and instability.
I’ll see you at the end of the month for the Heretic Spellblade anniversary. If you haven’t read the series, I hope you’ll take the time to give it a try (or another try, maybe) then.
