Heretic Spellblade Epilogue is Live
I have a (kinda) surprise release for you. Nathan returns to battle his rambunctious children, struggle with a lack of battles to overplan for, cuddle his loved ones, and ponder the mysteries left over from the end of the series (and peace in general). An extended epilogue of Heretic Spellblade is live on Amazon.

I intended this as a relatively small bonus at the end of the second omnibus, but it grew and grew, until it kind of needed its own (short-ish) book. The epilogue will also get an audiobook and paperback now. It takes place after a six-year timeskip and is a bundle of fun slice-of-life as you see where everyone and everything has ended up. Even in peace, not everything can truly be happy, and Nathan remains Nathan, so there’s work to be done. I also try to close off a lot of random minor plot threads and answer mysteries you might have considered at the end of Book 8.
This is the canonical ending of the series and a mainline entry, so I’d really appreciate reviews and for you to share it around. Especially as Amazon has apparently been having constant back-end problems lately, slowing down reviews and often causing them not to get posted. I want to give a huge thanks to everyone who leaves one as they do make a difference.
If you haven’t read the series and remember my last post about the second omnibus, then don’t worry. This epilogue will still be included in the final Heretic Spellblade omnibus when I release it next week. This separate release is for those of you who already have the entire series, while the omnibus is targeted at new readers of the series. There’ll be a sale on the first omnibus next week, too, so feel free to wait a week to start Spellblade. Or start now. The idea is you can read the series and epilogue however you want. I will add that if you’re coming from Mob Sorcery, the first two books can be rough, so consider skimming or skipping those if you struggle with them at first.
If you enjoyed Spellblade, I think you’ll love the epilogue, whether you enjoyed the ending of Book 8 or wanted more. The kids are adorable, there’s still problems to deal with, many characters are struggling with the transition from endless war to peace, and the invitation from the outer being still haunts Nathan. So give it a read.
I hope you enjoy this (partial) surprise if you’re a Spellblade fan. Right now, I’m working on Neural Wraith 4. You’ll see a post in a week about the Spellblade omnibus, but otherwise this is the end of 2025.
Have a Merry Christmas (or other holiday you celebrate) and a Happy New Year!
